El POLLO TANDOORI MASALA es una receta para repetir. Un resultado genial, un pollo crujiente por fuera y jugoso y lleno de sabores por dentro.

Su nombre se debe por una parte, donde lo cocinan, Tandoori. Un horno rotatorio típico tanto de Pakistán como de la India. Masala es una mezcla de especias muy habitual también en estas dos culturas.

Para preparar este Pollo Tandoori Masala necesitaremos:

INGREDIENTES

Pollo, yo he elegido los muslos.

2 yogures naturales.

2-3 cucharadas colmadas de Masala.

1 limón.

Sal.

2 Dientes de ajo.

1 trozo de jengibre fresco( o 1 cucharada del seco).

PREPARACIÓN DEL POLLO TANDOORI MASALA

Cogemos un  bol grande, en el que quepa todo el pollo. Yo he utilizado 12 muslos de pollo.

Algunos les quitan la piel, pero a nosotros nos gusta.

En el bol ponemos el ajo picado muy muy finito ( como una pasta).

Rallamos el jengibre hasta obtener una cucharada sopera y lo añadimos.

Vertemos los dos yogures naturales sin azucarar, yo he utilizado los tipo griegos que son los que tenía en la nevera.

Añadimos el zumo del limón.

Y mezclamos todo bien, hasta integrar todo los ingredientes.

Una vez mezclado, vamos espolvoreando la mezcla de especias poco a poco y yn dejar de  remover para que mezcle bien.

Después de esto, añadimos el pollo y con las manos vamos embadurnando todo el pollo por todas partes.

Lo dejaremos ahí para que marine, y ya sabéis, más horas de marinado equivale a más sabor.

Cuando lleve unas horas, mínimo dos, pasaremos el pollo a una fuente o bandeja de horno.

Esparcir toda la marinada sobre la carne.

La mitad del cocinado lo haremos con el pollo tapado con aluminio, para que se cocine bien por dentro, unos 20 minutos.

El resto, los otros 20 minutos quitaremos el aluminio para que resulte crujiente al final.

Durante la segunda mitad del cocinado hay que ir dándole la vuelta a los muslos para que quede crujiente por ambos lados.

El horno debe estar entre 180-200 grados unos 40 minutos más o menos , con calor arriba y abajo.

El resultado os sorprenderá, os trasladará a Pakistán o la India sin levantaros de la mesa.

El sabor del yogur, las especias y el limón junto al sabor del pollo es delicioso.

En mi caso lo serví con un poco de puré de patatas ligero y fue todo un éxito.
