BAYAS DE ENEBRO
Las BAYAS DE ENEBRO, proceden del Juniperus Vulgaris, conocido así científicamente.
Al mismo tiempo, el Enebro, es una planta leñosa originaria tanto de Norteamérica, como de Europa y Asia.
Por otra parte, sus frutos llamados comúnmente enebrinas, son muy amargos para consumirlos crudos, por lo que antes de consumirlos, los secan para muchas preparaciones.
Se suelen cascar antes de utilizarlos para que libere todo su excelente aroma.
Además de lo anterior, las BAYAS DE ENEBRO se han utilizado en medicina por muchas culturas.
Con ellas también, se fabrica la ginebra.
Además de su aroma y sabor característicos, estas bayas tienen un gran abanico de propiedades saludables para nuestro organismo.
PROPIEDADES DE LAS BAYAS DE ENEBRO
En primer lugar, estas bayas representa una buena fuente de vitaminas, tales como la C y la B1, las cuales nos aportan energía al cuerpo.
También son ricas en vitamina B3, que posee un efecto antioxidante.
Nos ayuda a mantener una buena salud cardiovascular.
Además de esto, las BAYAS DE ENEBRO, también es un buen aporte de minerales tales como el calcio, el zinc, potasio, selenio y el cobalto.
A su vez, es una fuente de fibra vegetal.
Antiguamente, se utilizaba como anticonceptivo femenino.
Por otra parte, tiene propiedades analgésicas, las mismas que alivian el dolor en diversas enfermedades.
Al mismo tiempo, poseen un efecto expectorante, nos facilita la expulsión del moco, siendo de gran ayuda para prevenir y tratar tanto resfriados como gripes.
Igualmente, es aperitiva es decir, estimula el apetito a personas inapetentes y para épocas de convalecencia.
Por último, también tiene un efecto diurético y antiséptico, lo que lo convierte en un remedio natural muy adecuado para infecciones urinarias.
USOS EN LA COCINA
Las BAYAS DE ENEBRO, son utilizadas como especia o condimento en la cocina, con sus frutos o bayas.
Desde la antigüedad, se ha usado como sazonador tanto de carnes, como de salsas y rellenos.
Por otro lado, las BAYAS DE ENEBRO se pueden comprar molidas, pero lo más adecuado al igual que todas las especias en grano, es molerlas en el momento de su uso.
A su vez, se utilizan para aromatizar carnes tanto de caza y cordero, como de carnes blancas.
Por último, también se utilizan bien para fabricar ginebras, como en adobos, en gin tonics y a su vez, en postres.
IMPORTANTE
Puede contener trazas de apio, mostaza, sésamo y frutos cáscara.
