ORÉGANO
En primer lugar, el ORÉGANO es una planta aromática muy mediterránea.
A su vez, esta planta está llena de propiedades para nuestra salud, además de su excelente sabor y de su intenso aroma.
PROPIEDADES DEL ORÉGANO
Para empezar, el ORÉGANO es rico en vitaminas tales como la E, la B3 ( niacina ), B6, B1 ( tiamina), B2 ( riboflavina), y B9, vitamina A, C y la K.
También es rico, en minerales como el calcio y el hierro, a su vez potasio, zinc, fósforo y magnesio.
Además de lo anterior, posee aceite esencial, también taninos, ácido fenólico y rosmarínico, los cuales le aportan propiedades antioxidantes.
Sus aceites esenciales, lo convierten en un excelente remedio natural para el sistema digestivo, ayuda a tener buenas digestiones y a evitar la formación y acumulación de gases, al ser carminativa.
Al mismo tiempo, tiene la capacidad de luchar contra la salmonella, gracias a sus propiedades antimicrobianas.
Por otro lado, tomado en infusiones, ayudan a aliviar los síntomas del resfriado por su efecto tanto expectorante y antiséptico, como antiinflamatorio y analgésico.
Del mismo modo, reduce los dolores menstruales y a su vez es una gran ayuda para la osteoporosis y arterioesclerosis.
Evita la retención de líquidos y favorece la circulación sanguínea.
De igual manera, usado en forma de aceite esencial para uso tópico, resulta ser un buen remedio contra los dolores producidos por la inflamación de las articulaciones.
Para terminar, no es aconsejable su consumo durante el embarazo y la lactancia.
Como todo, en caso de dudas debe consultarlo con su médico.
USOS EN LA COCINA
En primer lugar, el ORÉGANO, se utiliza muchísimo en salsas de tomate, tanto para platos de pasta como para el tomate de la pizza.
También se aromatizan caldos y sopas con orégano.
Además para adobar y realzar el sabor de las carnes, y para la elaboración de chorizos y otros embutidos.
A su vez, se puede mezclar con el aceite y el vinagre para preparar un aliño para ensaladas sabroso y aromático.
También se utiliza sobre huevos revueltos y tortillas, en guisos de carne y salteados de verduras.
Al mismo tiempo, es perfecto para marinar tanto pescados, como aves.
Por otro lado, es recomendable machacar un poco las hojas antes de su uso, de esta forma su aroma y sabor será mucho más intenso.
Para terminar, también es aconsejable añadirlo poco antes de terminar la cocción, así no se perderá nada su sabor.
IMPORTANTE
Puede contener trazas de apio, mostaza, sésamo y frutos cáscara.
