REGALIZ
El REGALIZ, científicamente llamada Glycyrrhiza Glabra o raíz dulce, ha sido catalogada como medicinal desde tiempos inmemoriales.
Esta raíz es 0riginaria de África del norte, Europa oriental y meridional y Asia.
Además, suele crecer en terrenos cálidos y es muy típico encontrarla al lado de los ríos.
El principio activo del REGALIZ es la glicirricina, lo que le confiere el típico sabor fuerte y dulce.
COMPOSICIÓN
Entre los componentes de esta raíz, podemos encontrar, ácidos como el salicílico, málico y betulínico.
También posee Azúcares , glicirrina, glucosa y sacarosa.
Al mismo tiempo, también contiene betacaroteno, flavonoides proteínas, saponina, taninos, vitamina C y tiamina.
También es rica en magnesio, potasio, silicio, sodio, fósforo, calcio, cromo y cobalto.
PROPIEDADES DE LA RAÍZ DE REGALIZ
El REGALIZ, tiene propiedades antiinflamatorias y antiespasmódica, alivia dolores musculares y de estómago.
Al mismo tiempo, es un potente antiácido para el estómago, atenúa el reflujo y mejora el funcionamiento intestinal.
También es un antibiótico natural, evitando el desarrollo de virus y bacterias en nuestro organismo.
Muy recomendable también,para tratar la tos y los resfriados. Suaviza la mucosa y despeja las vías respiratorias.
Por otro lado, usado en forma de enjuagues desinfecta y alivia el dolor de garganta.
Por su composición, puede ayudar a combatir la depresión, el estrés y la ansiedad.
La glicirricina ayuda a regular los niveles de estrógenos en la mujer.
A su vez, aplicado como infusión en el cuero cabelludo, combate y trata la caspa y seborrea.
También puede ayudar a dejar de fumar, desintoxica nuestro cuerpo y el gesto de llevar el palo de regaliz en la boca, puede ayudar a dejar el tabaco más fácilmente.
Por último, el REGALIZ, no es recomendable para personas diabéticas, con hipertensión arterial, embarazo.
USOS DEL REGALIZ
En primer lugar, en la cocina, el REGALIZ se utiliza mucho en pastelería y confitería.
Tambiçene fabrican caramelos y pastillas, helados y dulces.
Para la preparación de bebidas refrescantes, licores y cervezas.
Queda muy bien en carnes de caza, venado y aves.
El REGALIZ, ha sido utilizado como golosinas para los niños desde tiempos inmemoriales en muchas culturas.
Y como no, ha sido utilizado desde siempre en tisanas en todo el mundo.

Puede contener trazas de apio, mostaza, sésamo y frutos cáscara.
